These guys were inspired by students I have taught in one of my previous professional lives.  I spent fifteen plus years in a classroom teaching a variety of subjects but many of those years were spent with special needs students. These less-than-conventional looking bears are reminiscent of students who always had bad hair days but never failed to steal my heart in the process.

Golden Rod is my newest Lost Boy.  Made of mustard colored Schulte mohair from Edinburgh, he measures 3½" and is looking for a new home, preferably in some comfortable tea cup somewhere.

Larry has a beautiful, hand-knit sweater to wear while younger siblings, Rory and Harry are left out in the cold.  What could their mother have been thinking?  All three fellas are 4" tall and made of  Schulte mohair. 

Spike, Oogely and Fuzz are all three made from sparse Schulte mohair stuffed with polyester fiberfill and, like nearly all my bears, weighted with buck shot. 

Not all Lost Boys are Boys

These Lost Boys are all girls:  Left to right;
4" Rose, 6½" Deirdre and 6½" Jane

All three of these young unladylike ladies are made from Schulte mohair, have hand blown German glass eyes and are stuffed with polyester fiberfill heavily weighted with buck shot.
